In the largest work-from-home shift ever, the COVID-19 epidemic compelled enterprises all over the world to quickly adjust to a new distant reality in some cases for the first time. Officially, we are moving quickly toward the future of work.

Zoom meetings replaced traditional meetings, and there were 50% more video calls than there were before to COVID-19. People have come to expect remote employment, in addition to accepting it. One in two American workers said they would never return to a job where they are not given the opportunity to work remotely after six months of working from home full-time.

We collaborated with the top remote analytics company, Global Workplace Analytics, for Owl Labs’ fourth annual State of Remote Work research to find out more about the situation of remote work in 2020 and what’s coming. The New Standard is Remote Work

The reasons for working remotely have shifted slightly from 2019, with the fear of falling ill rising to the top and avoiding the commute continuing to be a yearly trend.

In 2019, it was discovered that over half of on-site employees desired to begin working remotely, and 42% of remote workers intended to work remotely more frequently than they do now. Currently, about 70% of workers work from home, and those who have made the transition are unwilling to go back to the office.
