The Brightbulb team has had a tremendous month thanks to recognition for our initiative, The Mince Pie Marathon, both locally at the IW Radio Awards and nationally after it was shortlisted for a UK Company Culture Award. Although we are sad at not bagging this award, we feel thrilled to declare that we have now been recognized at the international level too. In the “Small Tech Company of the Year” category, Brightbulb has been shortlisted for an international award at the Global Business Tech Awards 2024.

We are incredibly grateful to our clients for trusting us to innovate their technology and build their brand across several countries, as well as to our team who works like magicians. The goal of these awards is to highlight the top technology available worldwide. These honors aim to recognize the ways in which new and developing technology is conquering obstacles, generating fresh opportunities, accomplishing strategic objectives, and generating a positive return on investment (ROI) as technology continues to permeate every aspect of our lives, including our workdays.

At Brightbulb, we are involved in some incredible technology projects, the most significant of which are delicate in nature and are worked on behind closed doors without much publicity. It is amazing to have recognition on a global scale for the work that our team does on a daily basis, especially because many of our IT projects are for companies that operate internationally or have a global presence.

There are particular difficulties that digital companies like us, with our headquarters in a more isolated part of the UK, must overcome, as our Head of Happiness, Fiona, says.

Being situated on a small island off the southern coast of England can be beneficial and disadvantageous at different points. Even though the population of the Isle of Wight is estimated to be around 140,000, most businesses established here find it quite tiny when it comes to hiring, especially those like ours that require specialized skills and knowledge. But because we’ve been committed to creating a warm and energetic physical work environment as well as a company culture that values kindness above all else, we’ve been able to draw in top tech talent and assemble what, in my opinion, is the best team Brightbulb has ever had.
